Dr. Claire Farrimond joined Amanzimtoti Chiropractic in 2011 after completing a Masters degree in Chiropractic at Durban University of Technology.  She completed a thesis on runners knee, which enabled her to work with many runners in the Durban area.  In 2014 she joined Scottburgh Chiropractic Clinic where she now practices part time.
Dr. Farrimond enjoys working with people from all walks of life, treating patients from a few weeks old to well into their 90s.  She is a firm believer in wellness of the patient as a whole and places a large emphasis on prevention as well as cure.  She has a passion for ergonomics and has done numerous corporate wellness talks on posture and injury prevention in the work place.
Dr. Farrimond has a keen interest in many different sports and this combined with her curiosity in the human body (especially biomechanics) has helped her to understand the passion and dedication her patients give to their sport.  Dr. Farrimond’s main interests include running (she has completed 3 Comrades marathons), and dance, where she primarily does ballet and coaches a dance acrobatics class for young dancers.  In the past she has been involved in gymnastics, mountain biking, adventure racing and rock climbing, to name a few.
